The Swiss cross
The Swiss cross can be used to identify Swiss goods. These must, however, be proven to actually originate in Switzerland. The Swiss cross may, for example, be affixed on a bottle of mineral water from a Swiss source or on watches manufactured in Switzerland.
However, the use of the Swiss cross on goods from other countries remains illegal. The use of the Swiss cross is prohibited if it is falsely claimed that the goods are linked to the Confederation.
The Swiss cross may not be used for certain goods and services (particularly in the area of medicine) if it could be confused with the emblem of the Red Cross.
