Switzerland is involved in numerous international organisations and supports all dossiers with a focus on intellectual property rights, with the lead taken by the IPI. The main responsibility for organisations whose main focus is on intellectual property, such as in the World Intellectual Property Organization  and the European Patent Organisation, also falls to the IPI.
