The consultation ended on 15 September 2023. The report on findings shows that the introduction of a neighbouring right for media companies is controversial on the matter, but that its implementation tends to be welcomed. The Federal Council has asked for a message to be prepared in order to give Parliament the opportunity to debate the issue and take a political decision. The message is expected in the first half of 2025.
