Updating your register entry

In order for companies to be able to access up-to-date information onf www.swissreg.ch and in the Trade Mark Database, please inform us of any changes to your name, your company, your address or your representative. Changes to the register are free of charge.


Request for a change to a trade mark register entry

Many register changes can be requested online via the Trade Mark Database.

The following changes are possible:

  • Changes to the trade mark owner (i.e. transfer of a trade mark, change to the name and address, or correcting errors)
  • Changes to the representative, licensees, usufructuaries and pledgees (i.e. re-registering or deleting, change to names and addresses, or correcting errors)

You need a user account to be able to make changes to the Register via the Trade Mark Database.


Submit register changes electronically or by filling in a form

As before, you can also request changes to the register by sending an email to tm.admin@ekomm.ipi.ch or by filling in the relevant form. You can find an overview of the submission channels for register changes on our website.

Please note that a change to a trade mark and extending the List of Goods and Services for your trade mark is not possible under any circumstances after a trade mark has been registered. However, it is possible to request the cancellation of goods and services.

Requests for division, transfer, withdrawal and cancellation of an application or a trade mark require a signature and may only be submitted as a PDF attachment by email.
