The 'Swissness' calculator
The 'Swissness' calculator for industrial products (only available in German and French) is a tool to help calculate the percentage of an industrial product that originates in Switzerland. The results do not provide any information from the IPI on the legal situation for a specific case. Whether an industrial product fulfils the statutory 'Swissness' requirements is a question that can only be judged by the courts.
The IPI accepts no liability for the correctness of the results provided by the 'Swissness' calculator. The IPI makes this calculator freely available, but does not provide any advice as to its use in a specific case.
For questions regarding the specific calculation of individual examples of products, we recommend that you contact a specialist.
