International patent registrations (PCT) cannot be submitted by email. Please send us your documents by post or use the WIPO's ePCT portal.
For other IP rights domains and procedures, email submissions only have legal validity once you have also submitted the relevant documents by post (as previously). For details, please refer to submitting documentation for procedures.
Receiving written correspondence from the IPI
We will send you formal IPI correspondence by post, even if you have sent your submission by email. This includes all written correspondence in connection with a pending administrative procedure, in particular decisions.
You also have the option of requesting electronic delivery per IP right and procedure. This means that you will receive all correspondence from the IPI electronically.
