On 2 December 2016, the Federal Council acknowledged the results of the consultation on the partial revision of the Copyright Act (CopA). The report on the results shows that modernising copyright law is generally welcomed although views on the course to take diverge widely. The Federal Department of Justice and Police (FDJP) is therefore currently carrying out a review and will submit a proposal for further action to the Federal Council by the summer of 2017.
