Filters

You can use filters to restrict your search, for example, to specific trade mark types and/or specific classes of goods and services.

Activate or reset filters

You can activate the filter or filters you wish to use before carrying out a search or use filters to refine your search results. In the second case, only the filter applicable to the search result will be displayed.

Active filters are indicated by an asterisk as well as appearing under the heading ‘Filters’.

You can remove the filters individually (directly beside the filter or under the heading ‘Filters’) or remove all at the same time by clicking on ‘Reset’.

Filter by date

For the filters Filing date, Registration date, Cancellation date, Publication date and Expiry date, you can choose a suggested period of time or enter your own. The date ranges ‘Today’, ‘Last 7 days’, ‘Last 30 days’ and ‘Last 365 days’ are calculated from the search date.

Filter: Electronic delivery address

This filter is only available to registered users. You can use it to search for IP rights that are linked with the specified electronic mail address.

Filter: Nice Classification

If you select several classes of goods and services, you will find all trade marks and trade mark applications that claim protection in at least one of these classes.

If you are only interested in IP rights that claim protection in all of these classes, please search in specific fields.

Filter: Publication date

The publication date refers to the official publication of new trade mark registrations in Switzerland. You will not find any applications with this filter. It also cannot be used to search for international trade marks.

Filter by Vienna Classification

The figurative elements of trade marks are coded using the Vienna Classification. Thanks to these codes, you can search figurative elements of trade marks.

To do so, enter a term such as clouds in the Vienna Classification filter. The possible Vienna codes will be suggested (e.g. ‘01.15.11 Clouds, fog, vapor, smoke’). You can use the codes you accept to search for all trade marks whose figurative elements are assigned to these codes.

A complete list of all Vienna codes can be found in English and French on the WIPO website.
