Search results

Your search results will be displayed as an overview. Click on a search result to see more detailed information.

Grid view

In the grid view, you will see the following information for each search result:

  • Name of the product

  • Category: medicinal product, plant protection product, paediatric (paediatric SPCs)

  • SPC or paediatric SPC number

  • Term of protection

  • Basic patent number: the link will take you directly to the detailed view of the basic patent in the patent database.

  • IP right status: active or cancelled

  • IP right phase: application or granted

  • Owner

List view

You can switch to the list view by clicking on the list/grid button (not available in the mobile version).

For each result in the list view, you will see exactly where the search term has been found. You can then click on these locations to refine your search.

In contrast to the grid view, the information on the IP right phase and IP right status is only shown by symbols: the green, solid circle stands for active certificates; the red crossed-out circle stands for cancelled certificates; the tick symbol is for granted certificates; and the eye is for applications.

Sort by

By default, search results are sorted by descending relevance. Alternatively, click on Sort by to sort the results by application number, grant date or term of protection.

Click on the arrow next to this to change the order:

Descending order – the most relevant result or most recent date will be shown first.

Ascending order – the least relevant result or oldest date will be shown first.
