In order to implement Objective 13 of the Federal Council’s strategic objectives for 2022–2026 (in German, French and Italian), the IPI examined which SDGs are relevant to the IPI as an institution (SDGs with an internal impact) and what measures the IPI can take to help to achieve these SDGs.

The SDGs with an internal impact mostly concern the following areas:

• human resources;

• building infrastructure and the environment;

• procurement;

• access to information;

• compliance;

• finance; and

• digitalisation.

The social and ecological aspects of sustainable development are a priority in many of these areas. The IPI is therefore largely implementing the same measures and programmes as the central federal administration (e.g. RUMBA).
