Prototype
Develop a prototype. Work out the details in drawings and plans, and describe the solution precisely. This helps you determine how realistic your idea is and to uncover any weaknesses.
Good to know
- If a conflict arises at a later date, you will be able to prove the date of your invention (e.g. the steps in the inventive process). Date the drawings and plans, put them in a sealed envelope, and then post them to yourself (do not open the envelope!). You can also have the documents notarised.
