This workshop is aimed at managers in start-ups, SMEs and other innovation-driven companies who wish to gain an overview of the costs and benefits of intellectual property rights.

You’ll learn about the added value that patents, trade marks, designs and other intellectual property rights can offer your business, the costs involved throughout their life cycle, and the key factors to consider when choosing a suitable protection strategy. Based on practical examples, you’ll find out how to make well-informed investment decisions in the field of intellectual property.

The workshop consists of a keynote presentation and an open Q&A session.

Each workshop will take place if at least five people sign up.

Based on various case studies, you’ll learn how companies of different sizes and from various sectors develop their IP strategies, and what factors should be considered when selecting appropriate intellectual property rights. The examples illustrate how strategies can vary depending on the business model, technology or degree of internationalisation.
