Protection abroad
Every legal system is basically national. Copyright and neighboring rights protected under Swiss law are protected only in Switzerland. International protection is regulated via international treaties (such as the Bern Convention and the Rome Convention). To determine whether, as a Swiss resident, you are protected in another country, you need to find out whether the country has joined the same treaties as Switzerland.
