As we announced in December 2025, candidates preparing for the European patent administration certification (EPAC) can now also benefit from the European Patent Office’s (EPO) successful Candidate Support Programme (CSP).

 

Anyone preparing for at least two, or ideally four, of the EPAC 2026 modules can apply for the comprehensive support package. Applications are open from 30 January to 19 February 2026.

 

Please submit your application to the EPO online. Please note that this online form will only be accessible during the application period from 9am on 30 January to 6pm on 19 February 2026.

 

To apply, you will need:

• A confirmation of residence
• A letter of motivation
• A CV

 

The online form is only available in English. You may also submit your letter of motivation in German, French, or Italian. The confirmation of residence must not be older than six months.

The IPI will select a candidate together with representatives of the patent profession by 13 March 2026. The CSP training courses and tutoring will start in mid-March 2026.
