Switzerland maintains close contact with various trade partners on the issue of intellectual property. Tools for this are, among other things, specially created committees, such as the one for bilateral dialogue on intellectual property held with China since 2007.
The focus of a bilateral dialogue is on the economically important issues connected to protecting intellectual property in the partner country. The committees encourage an exchange of experience and collaboration among the responsible authorities in the national and international area.
