Swiss Youth in Science – tips for the inventors of tomorrow

At the semi-final of the 57th Swiss Youth in Science national competition in Bern, the young researchers learned what intellectual property is all about. In the IPI’s workshop, patent expert Christian Moser explained the role copyright plays in the young people’s competition entries, among other topics.

At the semi-final, the young people were given the unique opportunity to present their projects to experts for the first time. The most convincing entries made it through to the final. The final will take place from 20 to 22 April in St Gallen.

The IPI is a long-standing partner of Swiss Youth in Science. Our experts support the young people throughout the various stages of the competition and teach them the basics of intellectual property. In addition, we offer the participants assisted patent searches and sponsor a special prize which recognises a particularly innovative idea.
