“Switzerland has become my home”

On 5 July 2022, Daren Tang, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, visited the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) in Bern. Alongside the official agenda, he found time for a video interview. Our guest talked to us about various topics, including living in Switzerland and the importance of making intellectual property more understandable for everyone.

On 5 July 2022, Daren Tang, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, visited the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) in Bern. Alongside the official agenda, he found time for a video interview. Our guest talked to us about various topics, including living in Switzerland and the importance of making intellectual property more understandable for everyone.

 

Tang and his delegation visited not just the IPI but also the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). The aim of the WIPO Director General’s visit was to exchange ideas with the Swiss delegation: Catherine Chammartin, Director General of the IPI; Felix Addor, Deputy Director General of the IPI; Johannes Matyassy, Deputy State Secretary at the FDFA; and ambassadors Frank Grütter and Jürg Lauber.
