ip-search patent searches
Who we are – what we do
ip-search is a service of the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI), the official Swiss authority for patents, trade marks and designs. For over thirty years, we have been providing global patent and technology searches to satisfy the highest demands.
Our 50 search experts are engineers and scientists with degrees from all specialist fields. They are trained patent examiners who offer extensive patent and research expertise.
Using professional search and analysis tools, we carry out complex validity searches in all specialist fields, as well as freedom to operate searches (FTO). We also provide every search and analysis service required in the field of patents, from subject searches and patent landscape analyses to technology and legal status monitoring.
You decide the scope of the search, the depth of the analysis and the presentation of the results. We consult you during the search in order to refine the search strategy and the selection criteria. Ultimately, you will obtain the exact results you need.
There is a huge amount of information available in patent documents –
we are dedicated to helping companies use this knowledge for progress and innovation.
