Due to the rapid development of patent search systems, which increasingly feature AI-based ranking mechanisms, the search for relevant prior art documents is changing.

The recently published study makes an important contribution to this development by comparing semantic search engines and evaluating their performance in a transparent and objective manner.

In their concise and targeted analysis, the authors aim to add to and advance the discussion on the role of artificial intelligence in industrial rights searches.
